Love is Enough Part#1 is the first part of a Nordic and polyphonic Performance Anthology, where a number of Nordic artists through their artistic process examine(d) the postulate LOVE IS ENOUGH. The Anthology is initiated by Andriana Seecker (DE) together with Herman Nyby (FI).
In her Solo Andriana Seecker explores how emotions like pain, lust, sadness, anger, fear, hope, memory (all inherent in love) are perceived in the body and how they influence our corporality and transforms these experiences and emotions into an embodied canvas on stage. Within the bodylandscape all aspects of Love are experienced in the wildest colours. She wishes to work herself through why she always insists on Love being Enough. Always.
Welcome to the Universe of Love is Enough.
Here you are invited to be part of a journey in which artists of different fields explore unfamiliar ways of dealing with the universal and complex subject of Love.
My idea with this Postulate was not only to create alone standing performances in a common way together with other artists. Or about my own artistic insisting of Love being enough. Its about giving space to the variety of all our different approaches and experiences with Love.
Its about sharing with eachother and by this creating a possible meeting.
The reason why to choose the format of a solo when it is about love is the following:
Love is beautiful, vulnerable, forgiving, naked, honest, touching and usually not hiding.
As we are when being alone. Love is there. In each and everyone of us. But we mostly choose to hide.
Behind others, behind our fears, by the simple thought of not being enough alone as who we are.
So we close the door.
It is a very vulnerable task and area to step into when creating a solo.
Its challenging and demanding.
It takes us out of our comfort zone because we long for being together in love and in creating.
We struggle doing it because we are thrown back to ourselves alone.
We are naked. In a Solo there is no one to hide behind. Only our own fears.
But fears of what and why? Who sets the parameters of what is enough?
And Who is enough? Is Love Enough? Am I enough?
Is it possible to exchange the fear we meet with Love and Kindness towards eachother and ourselves?
I believe it is.
But we have to open the door again and let them in.
